Martin Ontiveros' new sofubi GHOULASH debut edition lottery announced from Toy Art Gallery!

Toy Art Gallery and TAGTOYS are excited to announce our newest collaboration with illustrator and designer Martin Ontiveros, the GHOULASH! GHOULASH was created more from sorcery than science. A Mad Magician made him out of body parts he found while dimension-hopping: A werewolf arm. The arm and leg of a brutish humanoid species and the other leg from a dragon. A torso made from the combined heads of a Giant and a Reptilian. A hollowed-out skull housing a vicious bat for a head. A reinforced steel spine and neck, a stitch here and there and the Magician had a hulking bodyguard, an enforcer, a GHOULASH.

Standing 10.5” tall and 7.5” wide, the mighty GHOULASH is an absolute brick of soft vinyl. With 8 points of articulation and 12 parts, GHOULASH crushes the toy shelf. The Ghoulash was designed by Martin Ontiveros, sculpted by Sean Blay (@monstresean), and produced by TAGTOYS. Debut edition painted by UHOH Toys (@uhohtoys).

“My previous toys all have specific character details and costume elements that are pretty defined and immutable, and don’t allow much for anything but changing the colors when painted. When I first conceived Ghoulash, I was shooting for something that was to be a simpler, uncomplicated figure with a skull with bat wings for a head but a body that was less detailed/costumed and more open for play when customizing…and then he proceeded to morph into a chaotic mix of disparate parts, my very own Frankenstein monster. Rumor has it Ghoulash also has a “twin” but he has yet to be seen…”

The debut edition of GHOULASH is cast in Neon Green Soft Vinyl with a multitude of sprays, washes, and detailing. The GHOULASH Debut Edition retails for $175 and will be released via email lottery starting on Friday, August 9th 12PM PST and ending on Monday, August 12th at 12PM PST.
