A new sofubi designed by Doktor A and produced by Lowbrowee Toys – (Sir) Mugi Teaworthy.
This Shiba Inu giant doggo robot Mechtorian is the first of its kind to be made in Japanese soft vinyl. Not at all menacing, he is actually a playful charmer (as the play pose suggests) and a snappy dresser, with his three interchangeable hats – topper, bowler, fez - one for each mood. With his tail carried high-up to reveal a fine behind, he is about 6 inches tall and 8 inches long. This first colorway (grey mint) brings to mind Lady Liberty and pocket George Washington portrait prints, but is mostly inspired by the interior design of Fortnum and Mason – his favorite London spot for afternoon tea. He likes cake and scones, by the way, but also crumpets. Sold in a poly bag with a header card designed by Doktor A, including a leaked secret blueprints for Teaworthy and his upgraded internal mechanisms.
This release is the culmination of a 2-year production process by Doktor A and Lowbrowee, with credits to Willy Kao (digital sculpt) and Science Patrol (wax and molds production). Mugi Teaworthy is the first collectible produced as part of Mugi’s Circle of Art - Lowbrowee Toys’ personal project celebrating his furry buddy, Mugi the Shiba Inu, through artwork by his favorite toy makers and pop-surrealists.
