Broke Piggy honors Task One with special pin releases for Dcon!

Nothing warms my heart more than honoring friends who are no longer with us, and the folks over at Broke Piggy made two pins to honor Task One. Both of these pins will be for sale at Booth #410 at DCON, with all proceeds going to Task's family... how amazing is that?!?! Special thanks to J*RYU and Scott Tolleson for assisting with the artwork. Broke Piggy was fortunate enough to locate Task's early graffiti work before he became a Master Wizard in the prop making and designer toys... But why a Potato?

J*RYU helps explain that with a personal story: "Task and I would often work alongside each other late into the night, sometimes until the dawn started to break. In between sessions of molding, casting, or painting and waiting for stuff to dry, we would discuss all sorts of random things. One night, we were outside the shop well after midnight, waiting for some clear coat to dry when I randomly asked him, "What food could you eat every day, if you had to choose only one to eat, for the rest of your life?"

"Potatoes," he said without hesitation.

"Really?"

He nodded. "Yeah. Fried, mashed, baked, pretty much every way but NOT potato chips."
"I make a pretty good casserole that uses tater tots as a topping. I'll make you and the family one," I offered.

"Ok playa. I look forward to it."

And so I did. On two different occasions. Task said that he, Sheryl and Winter really liked it, but the last one I made was so huge that they had to freeze some of it after he valiantly tried to eat as much as he could over the next few days. The remaining frozen casserole was still in the freezer after he passed, but Sheryl heated it up for dinner when his folks came to town.
