"The Old Mine Vampire... a biomechanical psychic vampire from another galaxy, confined for decades to the ancient, secluded woodlands of Walpack, New Jersey by use of an energy shield designed for this very purpose. Conversion of the entire area into an open-air jail for this interstellar ghoul was the real reason the Army Corps of Engineers purchased the town in 1955, and forced all residents to move.

The energy shield has no effect on humans, nor is Walpack otherwise designated as a forbidden zone. If you're foolhardy enough to adventure there, tread lightly and stay alert: the OMV still roams the ghostly downtown, surrounding forest, and low-lying wetlands. While its powers are somewhat diminished by long years of earthly captivity, its demonic sense of purpose has only deepened... Also, be sure to wear some bug repellent w/ DEET... the tick population is out of fucking control there."
