Perhaps due to the flood of people seeking tickets to this year's upcoming
DesignerCon, the convention's website crashed yesterday due to technical issues and not a single ticket was sold. But, on a happy note, those issues have been resolved and all is right with the DCon world again… though, to be completely fair, the release of tickets has been delayed until today (August 9th, 2018) at 1pm Pacific time. With their big move to the
Anaheim Convention Center, located essentially right across the street from
Disneyland, DCon reportedly will have almost triple the show space, accommodating veteran tablers as well as hordes of newcomers. But as was inevitable, this shift has cause tickets to increase in price… though at roughly double last year's costs, this still remains an amazing bargain: $20 for a one-day pass, $35 for both Saturday and Sunday, and $60 for a VIP pass, which allows entry into the con on Friday night, a FREE Andy Warhol Be@rbrick, and more (currently undisclosed) priorities and perks. In addition, there is also the Saturday night party featuring music by
Chevy Metal (a side project from two
Foo Fighters members) with
Rob Zombie guitarist
John5 along with visual entertainment from the crew of
Secret Walls, and all attendees to this $35 ticketed event will get a FREE Chevy Metal Be@rbrick! So set your alarms for 1pm Pacific time today (August 9th, 2018) as that's when you'll be able to secure tickets to all this at
DesignerCon.com.
