REVEALED: The Future of T9G's "Alex" the Robotic Rat from InstincToy!

It was almost a year ago that we revealed how InstincToy were producing a beautiful soft vinyl rendition of the "Alex" design by T9G's Takuji Hondo. Over a decade after the artist first conceived of the concept and unveiled it at his first solo exhibition, T9G∕MUSEUM, I must admit that no photographs can replace seeing this beautiful work in-person. Smartly produced with ball-jointed arms and tail as well as flip top upper jaw/head, this robotic rat creature theoretically sustains himself through the mysterious fuel in the liquid filled tank strapped to its back. Having debuted recently in the primarily black "Prototype 2018" edition, InstincToy's immaculate display at this past weekend's Five Points Festival teased two forthcoming renditions of the beast, the pale green, blood-splattered "Zombie Alex" version and an untitled edition in the brand's signature rainbow of colorations.
