Back in 2016, quarterback
Colin Kaepernick protested racial injustice by not standing while the United States national anthem played at the start of NFL games. In fact, to be specific, he took a knee. Immediately becoming a national figure through this action (or rather inaction),
kaNO pays homage to Kaepernick and his stance with "The Messenger", an artistic interpretation of the memorable gesture. Produced by
Munky King, this 6½-inch tall design will be rendered as a sculptural piece cast in resin as well as a vinyl edition form. Debuting on Friday, February 2nd, 2018 at 3pm Pacific time, in the pictured crystal clear resin edition (limited to 50 pieces at $200 each) and the general release black vinyl version ($50 apiece), with a portion of the proceeds from every sale being donated to Kaepernick's
Know Your Rights campaign.
