Part winged Pegasus, part long-snouted elephant, all soldier! That's right, it's the return of
Amanda Visell's "Pegaphunt Centurion"! Originally known as the "Trojan Pegaphunt", this concept debuted in 2008 as original painting at the
Kaiju Monster Invasion exhibition at Art Basel Miami before being issued as limited edition metal sculptures the following year. And, of course, making the transition to vinyl with Kidrobot in 2010 to be part of Visell's "Tic Toc Apocalypse" series. In fact, I think it's been since then that we saw the "Pegaphunt" proper, but now it's back! With Visell's partner and frequent collaborator,
Michelle Valigura, involved in this new resin version's production, this hand-painted "Pegaphunt Centurion" rendition is roughly 7-inches wide and limited to only 13 pieces worldwide. Available right now in the
myswitcheroo online shop, you can get yourself a little piece of history for only $175 apiece.
