Able to posed with one arm raised akin to the popular
maneki-neko, or beckoning cat, that inspired him, Australian artist
Seymour's "Manky Neko" takes the feline form to the mankiest of places. And, if you're not familiar with the word 'manky', it's traditionally British and/or Scottish slang for something that is horribly gross and nasty. A 7-inch tall soft vinyl form is covered in exaggerated folds reminiscent of
sphynx cat, the occassional pustule or boil erupts upon it's sculpted hide. And, of course, who could miss it's six pert and perverted breasts? After debuted in
its black rendition, this second official release of the "Manky Neko" comes in a vibrant fluorescent pink. Limited to only 25 pieces worldwide, all are accompanied by a hand-cast resin "name tag" and a header card featuring artwork by
Grimoire. Made available exclusively through the
Clutter Gallery, these will be released today (Wednesday, January 17th, 2018) at 9am Pacific time from
HERE for $95 apiece.
