The concept of the
Alien and
Predator franchises clashing started in the mid-'80s, when
Dark Horse Comics, who held the comic book licensing for both movie worlds, decided to have them face off against one another. We're talking four years before the Xenomorph's head was briefly shown at the end of
Predator 2 in the trophy room scene! So, even before the
2004 film and its
2007 sequel came along,
Alien vs. Predator was a "thing". And one that Alan Ng of
Fools Paradise beautifully mocks in his new "Born to Play" vinyl sculpture, depicting a curious little boy in a Predator mask sticking his finger towards a Xenomorph playfully posed like dog. Announced as coming soon, this limited edition set will be available to pre-order soon from
doublefools.blogspot.com, updates about its release being posted on the
FoolsParadiseToys Instagram account.
