SOJI × Planet 3 Toys's "Tacco Chan" Debuts!

Depicting an adorable octopus with wide eyes and rosy red cheeks, "Tacco Chan" is a truly appropriate name for this 8-legged, 3-inch tall friendly critter, as it resembles the Japanese wording tako-chan, which would roughly translate to "girlishly cute octopus"! The result of a chance meeting between Soji Gifts and Collectables's owner Ariel Chao and Planet 3 Toys's co-founder David Dick, the two hit it off, their shared interests blooming into an eventual collaboration that is "Tacco Chan"! Hand-cast in clear resin that has been tinted a milky white with iridescent cellophane, the actual manufacturing was handled by Rocketman Props and each one was hand-painted by Planet 3's other founder, Maki Fujimoto. Limited to an edition of only 10 pieces, the first 5 of which will debut as Soji's in-store exclusives at their Vancouver, Canada brick-and-mortar location (138 East Broadway, Vancouver, BC V5T 1V9) on Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at 10am Pacific time, the remaining five pieces will be available online exclusively at sojisoji.ca on Sunday, October 15th, 2017 at 10am Pacific time for $65 CAD (approx. $52 US) apiece.
