For seven years, from 2004 until 2010, there was a
Saw film released to accompany Halloween, and this year that tradition makes a return with the film
Jigsaw coming out! To mark this occassion, the artist
Nomiwa has taken his SpongeBob SquarePants-inspired "Hannya" (
般若) and Patrick Star-esque "Tengu" (
天狗), hand-painting details on both that recall the likeness of the film franchise's iconic puppet character. Titled, appropriately enough, the "JIGSAW" edition, these are being sold first come, first served to those that reserve copies by emailing nomiwa2016@gmail.com using the title "Jigsaw Tengyu and Hannya" and including their Name, Mailing Address (inc. Country), Phone Number, and Paypal Address in the email's body. And at only $220 for the pair, we doubt these sets will last long…
Of course, some people may be holding out in the hopes of winning the chance to buy the rare special edition version with hair (pictured below). For those interested in this rendition, which only costs $30 more, you can find out how to enter by visiting the artist's Instagram post
HERE.
