Have you ever heard of the Defence Systems & Equipment International (DSEI) exhibition? Yup, neither had I. It's the world’s largest arms fair, allowing arms buyers and sellers to network and make deals, and it's held every two years at ExCeL, the huge exhibition center in London's Docklands. And, according to the
Art the Arms Fair website, it has repeatedly had "illegal torture equipment & cluster bombs" on sale at it. To counter this event, Art the Arms Fair has organized a massive exhibition that is being held at
SET Space in Poplar until tomorrow (September 15th, 2017), where works will be sold to support the
Campaign Against Arms Trade. Among the incredible list of contributors is the notorious UK street artist
Banksy, whose contribution is the above-pictured "Civilian Drone Strike" piece, comprised of three polymer resin drones with spray painted shadowing and a framed 'destroyed' children's drawing. So, if you're in the London area, head on over and
check out the event!
