Back in 2015, when the
Luke Chueh designed cellphone charm was released by
Munky King, it was the subject of some controversy, as it depicted Chueh's well-known biographical bear character hanging itself. Showing respect to those whose depression is at the point they are considering something akin to what "Hung" depicts, the artist and company have donated a portion of all sales from this design to a suicide prevention group or groups. Which, as far as I know, holds true to this day, meaning some profits from the forthcoming "Rainbow Hung" will be donated as well. A blind boxed release, with the exact contents in each box unknown until opened, "Rainbow Hung" includes 7 different colored renditions of the form: blue, pink, red, green, yellow, orange, and a secret seventh color! Expected to ship in September 2017, based on the information Tomenosuke posted on the release (see
HERE), these roughly 1⅗-inches tall pieces should retail for $15 apiece, as has been the standard pricing for "Hung" pieces.
UPDATE: While Tomenosuke haven't received their quantities yet, thus the preorder announcement, this set has been released and is available now
direct from Munky King for $12 apiece as well as from various designer toy retailers worldwide. Apologies for any confusion.
