Spencer Pollard, an artist in every since of the word, just started getting into making toys of his own, but have been enamored with them since he was a child. He's been involved in the punk/hardcore scenes for over half of his life and have been in more bands and booked more shows than he can count or remember. Playing bass, singing, and writing for his current band, 'Trash Talk'... he decided that wasn't enough to take up his time, so he took up sculpting and resin casting, and one of his first releases, under his own 'Dogman Toys' label, is a Minor Threat inspired resin figure called, "Bottled Violence"... an iconic image that he decided to sculpt, cast and paint into an art toy!
Spencer mentions "Since my days as an angsty teen, this image has always stuck out to me as iconic punk visual. From the days when the words straight edge actually meant something to me, to now, where I've graduated to moderation and adulthood, this image still conjures up many of the same emotions it did 20 years ago." It hits home for use as well as Minor Threat played a big part of our youths soundtrack! Spencer plans to continue to make punk and hardcore inspired toys as well as bootlegs and original sculpts. His "Bottled Violence" resin figure is limited to just 10 pieces and is up for grabs HERE right now for just $30 a pop, comes with magnet articulation and is packed in resealable blister packaging for playability!
