A bloody rain slicker and cap alongside a sign that reads "You Killed Me" are our teaser's for the
Retroband Toys contribution to this year's
Creepshow 2 exhibition. And while I'm sure someone out there is guessing that this is Retroband's Aaron Moreno's tribute to
I Know What You Did Last Summer, it actually is -- shocker -- inspired by the 1987 film
Creepshow 2! Or, more precisely, by one of the segments: The Hitch-Hiker. If you're unfamiliar, I strongly suggest watching it. With these pieces made to fit on Moreno's 12-inch tall "
MEATS" figure, there appears to be only three being handmade by the artist for the showcase, each with a hand-painted header card featuring the famous "DOVER" signage from the film. With the
Creepshow 2 exhibition, curated by Kyle Renard (
Secret Demon Services) and Matthew Trotter (
Matt.Blak), opening on July 22nd, 2017 at 10am local time, those unable to make it to
Artofficial (29 Kirkgate, Leeds LS2 7DR) should email
secretdemonservices [at] gmail [dot] com to find out how to purchase pieces remotely.
