Rato Kim's "Box Cat" gets the Daruma treatment!

Recently, South Korean artist Rato Kim took a trip to Japan, and she was obviously inspired by the culture and art as she revealed yesterday a really nice rendition of her resin "Box Cat"... the "Daruma" Cat! The Daruma doll (達磨? daruma), also known as a Dharma doll, is a hollow, round, Japanese traditional doll modeled after Bodhidharma, the founder of the Zen sect of Buddhism... and although her rendition isn't round, it still features similar designs/markings in which you can tell what inspired the design! No word on a release... but when that does happen, they will be HERE in her online store. Details when we get them!
