Jason Freeny's "
XXRAY" line, known for incorporating Freeny's signature quarter-cut dissection element to a wide variety of forms, will be tackling the Imperial guardian lions, which are simply known as Shi in China but are commonly called "Foo Dogs" in the West. Depicting the most well-known representation of the lion in imperial China, it's fantastic to see the "XXRAY Foo Dog" interpretation, which will stand 8-inches tall and be cast in vinyl. Now, these lions are usually depicted in pairs, a male leaning his paw upon an embroidered ball (representing supremacy) and a female restraining a playful cub that is on its back (representing nurture), so it only makes sense that these gorgeous bluish-green patinaed "XXRAY Foo Dog" figures will be sold as a pair, becoming available on June 3rd, 2017 from the
Mighty Jaxx online shop for $240 per set of two.
