Seb Whatshisname's New Statue — "OMG" — Coming Soon!

Eastern Poland-born artist Seb Whatshisname has teased his newest sculptural work, the pictured piece titled "OMG". Depicting a woman in a religious habit, we're not sure if this is a depiction of the Virgin Mary herself or of a nameless nun, but — as seen below — we can tell she is texting on a cellphone! A brilliant juxtaposition of the classic sculpture form, depicting someone traditionally considered Luddite, who is holding the single modern item that embodies simplicity and convenience. Paired with the title of "OMG", you can almost imagine her taking selfies and using Tinder.
