While the confusingly worded announcement from new soft vinyl maker
Nomiwa that a "second version of Hogoda has been produced in a soft vinyl courtesy of
Unbox [Industries]" makes it sound like the pictured version is the one being produced, this is actually the version that debuted last year at
Toy Art Gallery's DCon Booth #1221 (
see here). Based on the colorations of the sea-dwelling mantis shrimp, this strange merging of Buddhist imagery and insectoid structure is absolutely stunning and, if you missed out, it can be yours now! Well, it can be yours if you're lucky enough to win the email lottery at least. For those wanting the 6⅔-inch tall figure, you're going to need to send your name, mailing address (inc. country), telephone number, and PayPal address to
