Are those sleepy eyed depictions of Ayako Takagi's
Studio Uamou mascot figure in the likeness of
Paulus Hyu's iconic French Bulldog design, Nimbus? Yes, yes they are! Made in support of the
Art for Hopes project, a non-profit organisation based in Indonesia that provides underprivileged kids the opportunity to learn and develop, these roughly 3-inch tall "Uamou" vinyl figures each come with their "Boo" ghost companion, each cast in glitter-infused dark vinyl. Titled the "Bizarre Dreams UAMOU", these are limited to 10 handpainted sets, each one made slightly unique by the kanji written on its belly. Beyond that element, there is one made even more special, a chase one, which has X'd out eyes instead of sleepy ones (dead middle in the above photo). Available on January 20th, 2017 at 8pm Pacific time in
artforhopes.bigcartel.com for $65 apiece, the last run of "Dream UAMOU" figures sold out very quickly so make sure not to sleep on these!
