Using the same bipedal, anthropomorphic instectoid figure as the
previously released "Raid" piece, pop art toy creator The Super Sucklord of
Suckadelic has two new bug-inspired editions to make you want to roll up a rather massive magazine… "Roach Motel", pictured above, has a 8½-inch by 6½-inch backing card that uses the basic insect trap product packaging of the same name… though the Black Flag that creates this one isn't the oldest insecticide brand in the United States, it's the iconic logo of the punk rock band that first
really introduced the world to the voice of Henry Rollins. The other release is "THEM", inspired by the 1954 American black-and-white science fiction monster film about a nest of gigantic irradiated ants that are discovered in the New Mexico desert. Not only the first "big bug" feature,
Them! was also one of the first of the 1950s "nuclear monster" films. Limited to editions of 28 (Roach Motel) and 16 (THEM), these are available now in the
Suckadelic online shop for $75 apiece.
