Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel. Pollock’s One: Number 31, 1950. Picasso’s Guernica. Da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. Now add to that list... Tolleson’s 'The Art Enamel Pin'. What some art critics are now calling the masterpiece of all masterpieces, The Art Enamel Pin has been making waves in the art community since its announcement earlier this morning. We reached out to the designer of The Art Enamel Pin, two-time Designer Toy Award winning artist, Scott Tolleson, and he graced us with a quick statement.
“When Broke Piggy reached out to me about doing an Art Enamel Pin that would not only change the dialogue on pins, but also change the world, I knew this was the project I had been waiting for. We’ve spent the better part of the last decade creating this pin, and now I’m just so thankful that we can share it with everyone. Embrace art. Have a blessed day.” Is this the end of the pin game? Or is this just the beginning of a new art renaissance? Time will tell. If anyone would like to join the SpankyStokes editorial team and other designer toy industry leaders and artists in a discussion about The Art Enamel Pin, you can find us in line this Friday night camping out in front of the Pasadena Convention Center to be one of the first to own The Art Enamel Pin. Grab one at the Broke Piggy booth #527 as well as Scott's booth #525 (for his exclusive colorway) - both will retail for the price of $10 a pop!
