*RECAP* The 6th Annual Designer Toy Awards during New York Comic Con 2016

The 6th Annual Designer Toy Awards happened a few hours ago, kicking off on Saturday night during the convention. Clutter Magazine, along with a ton of their sponsors, really put on an amazing show. The venue was awesome... and from all the photos we saw, we really wish we could have attended! As most of you know, SpankyStokes.com was up for 'Best Blog' - and although we weren't fortunate enough to be on hand when it was announced that we had taken home the trophy... HOLY SMOKES... what an honor, we are still in disbelief! Completely and utterly overwhelmed with joy, is a good way to describe it! After losing last year, we really had to up our game and with stiff competition once again this year from The Toy Chronicle, Vinyl Pulse, Toysrevil, TheBlotSays, The Toy Viking, Tenacious Toys, Urban Vinyl Daily, and Plastic & Plush it wasn't going to be easy... but we did it, with your help!!! I personally would like to thank Nick aka TrustPigs, and the rest of the writers who have helped me out with SS.com over the years... words can't describe how fortunate and humbled I feel for the support and help you have given. Most importantly, I want to thank my wife, Jamie Lee, and our daughter, Lacie, for allowing me to pursue my passion, with understanding and patience... many, many, many, long hours go into this site... and my wonderful wife allows me to put those long hours in - Love you babe.
