While I still think that Taiwanese-American artist Mei-Jean Hsu, known under her abbreviated name of
MJ Hsu, not being nominated as a breakthrough artist finalist at this year's Designer Toy Awards is a crying shame, at least she continues to put out her fantastical works for all us fans to enjoy! And with her favorite holiday, Halloween, right around the corner, she's treating us to Halloween-themed "Donatsu" resin sculptures and "Delectables" customized Dunnys! With three flavors of each, the only problem will be choosing which ones you want. The cat-esque donuts known as "Donatsu," an original resin sculpture by Hsu, will be available in "Candy Corn," "Caramel Apple," and "Choco-Bat" versions, while her hand-painted vinyl Dunnys housed inside resin cast cupcake shell — her "Delectables" line — will grow to include "Spooky Pumpkin Spice," "Black Cherry Vampire," and "Bat-Cake." Available from Friday, October 7th to Thursday, October 13th, 2016 at
mjhsu.com, these preorder items are guaranteed to arrive to all U.S. locations before Halloween. Costing $50 and $85 apiece respectively, these "Donatsu" and "Delectables" creations are yummy enough to eat — though they are not edible, of course.
