Méxican artist
Jump Jumper Ant rose to popularity instantly with her "Catrina" designs, conceptually evolved pieces from the Día de Muertos aesthetic, especially recalling the Calavera, or Day of the Dead sugar skull. Returning to this magnificent appearance, Jump Jumper Ant introduces "Santera," a vinyl Dunny figure that she has transformed into an original work of art that recalls elements of vintage dolls, from textured attire to creepy glass eyes… though they are actually resin eyes, hand-cast by the artist, that give off a Mona Lisa effect (if you are unfamiliar,
watch them in action). A truly memorable work with fantastic little face sculpted upon the 3-inch Dunny form, this piece is available now from
HERE for $175. The artist can also be contacted directly at
gahel [dot] igzz [at] gmail [dot] com with any questions, or with commission requests.
