Kozyndan's "From Whence We Came" Solo Exhibition at Giant Robot!

Husband-and-wife team of Kozue & Dan Kitchens, better known under the guise Kozyndan, prepare to present their first entirely sculptural exhibition ever, From Whence We Came. Featuring over 100 ceramic sculptures, this showcase is an "exploration of a primitive world before our own inhabited by sentient creatures attuned to magic and the power of their ancestors and the prime creators." Displayed at Giant Robot 2 (GR2), this solo show began with Kozue's first set of "bunny primitive" sculptures, which she began creating stories and an entire world around… which evolved and influenced later sculptures in the series. Presenting "a full spectrum of these characters," we're promised that "each figure is its own being, named and having its own personality that can affect some aspect of the life of whoever possesses it."

From Whence We Came, a solo exhibition, opens on Saturday, September 10th with a reception from 6:30-10 pm local time and runs through September 28th, 2016 at GR2, 2062 Sawtelle Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025.
