1000Tentacles's "Descendants of Ancient Chaos Series #01: Medusa Offspring!"

Malaysian artist WanKok Leong, who works as 1000Tentacles, has revealed his newest work, the debut piece in his Descendants of Ancient Chaos series: "Medusa Offspring." A gorgeously stylized rendition of the Greek mythological creature, I love the look of the over-sized snakes adorning the character's head but, rather than being hair as is tradition, the slithering beasts are pets coming from behind. With arms that resemble snakes themselves, the human character has beautifully wide eyes and the sculpted open mouth is marvelous. Limited to an edition of 60 pieces worldwide, these are expected to ship by the end of the year. These works are 6⅔ x 3¾ x 3½ inches themselves and sit atop a 2½-inch tall wood base, which is signed and numbered on the underside.
