The stunning minimalist art of
Yoskay Yamamoto will shift in direction for his upcoming
In Between the Dreams solo exhibition, maintaining his simple aesthetic but incorporating a more experimental approach. Primarily expressed through "simple line paintings juxtaposed against more rendered painterly style polka dot sunset paintings," creating a "dreamscape-like setting that’s both inviting and comforting," Yamamoto will also incorporate some sculptures into the exhibit. A site-specific installation "that fits within his 'dreamscape'" will, in theory, include the above-pictured designer toy rendering of a globe. Displayed at
Giant Robot 2 (GR2), we're sure this will be a memorable themed exhibition.
In Between the Dreams, a group exhibition, opens on Saturday, August 20th with a reception from 6:30-10 pm local time and runs through September 7th, 2016 at
GR2, 2062 Sawtelle Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90025.
