*REVIEW* 'Frombie Run' mobile handheld game!!!

We were stoked to be offered up an advanced copy of the new mobile game 'Frombie Run' from the folks over at Frombies and A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. digital... and we were pleasantly pleased right from the get go on how much fun this app is. To start off, the game is FREE to download, which is great, and there really isn't a reason you shouldn't get it seeing as it's super easy to play and is a great way to see all the characters in the Frombie universe come to life. Right when you open the app and start the first game there is a super easy tutorial to follow that walks you through games gestures and how to play... which makes the learning curve easy enough for 2 year old to play... no seriously, my daughter figured it out after a few tries :-) It's an 'endless runner' style format which means the screen keeps scrolling without your control, you are able to dictate whether the character jumps, speeds up, goes down, and uses special items.
Throughout the game, you collect coins that you can redeem for special powerups, as well as earning crystals that allow you to resume where you leave off when you die... if you run out you can purchase more through the appstore, which is a great way for to further advance in the game so you can raise the distance of you final score. You encounter plenty of baddies, roadblocks, and other items that you have to avoid while playing, and during the game you can also utilize special powerups that allow you to further yourself. Those powerups include: Magnet Radius (allows you to collect items from further away), Magnet duration (allows the effect to last longer), Speed Boost (allows the character to run faster), 2-Hit Shield (protects your character from multiple hits), and Shield Duration (this makes the shield last longer). All of these can be upgraded allowing you to maximize your characters potential.
Speaking of characters, you start out as Zora... the main squeeze when it comes to Frombies, but during the game, you can unlock other characters including: "SB", "Kami", "Pang", and "Kitt"... making each player experience different while navigating the fast paced game environment. Oh... and in each level/environment, you collect wisps and when you hit the number allotted in each level, a portal opens up allowing your character to warp into a whole new level/environment... making the scenery ever changing and fun to look at. We can't stress it enough... the game is a ton of fun and if you are a fan of the Frombies universe, or just a fan of rad handheld games, this is for you!
