Clogtwo × Wetworks's "Shinigami" Grim Reaper Resin Figures!

A collaboration between artists Clogtwo and Wetworks, the pictured "Shinigami" is an adorable depiction of the grim reaper himself. Titled after the Japanese "god of death" or "death spirit," I love the aloof body language of the figure's fluid profile, especially the ease with which he seems to place his one hand into his robe's pocket. And, of course, the massively oversized scythe just emphasizes the chibi-style this work embodies. The head itself is vague reminiscent of Takashi Murakama's skulls, especially with the Superflat-esque flowers emerging from within the eye cavities. Theoretically being cast in resin as an art multiple, this designer toy release just might be making its debut this year's Singapore Toy, Game, and Comic Convention (STGCC)…
