Leanna Lin's Wonderland is celebrating six years of being open! Their presence in Eagle Rock has really brought a lot of spark and brightness to the community, and has created a big fan base (including myself! I don't live in the Los Angeles area but every DCon for a couple years in a row now I've gone and visited the shop before the convention starts). To celebrate the many of years of adorable gallery shows, artist events, and all that fun stuff they are having a show and party this Saturday July 9th. The event will feature delicious foods from
Jeni's Ice Cream, which is actually a very delicious ice cream brand based in Ohio and was the first artisanal ice creams I ever ordered online, lovely
Auntie Apple cookies, and fancy drinks by
Owl's Brew. It will also have a huge collection of artists contributing pieces to a curated show by
SupahCute. Below are a few sneak peeks from
Flat Bonnie,
Tokyo Bunnie, and
Double Parlour.
For a full list of artists, refer to the flyer above. Also, in case you think this event is just for looking at things and feeling happy, there is actually an even sweeter layer on top - 10% of the proceeds will go to
DSTL Arts, which is a local non profit that provides art mentorship for at risk youth. So stop by on Saturday July 9th from 6-9 PM, have fun, and enjoy yourself! If you can't make it in person, the pieces will be on display until August 28th and available online after the opening. Follow Leanna Lin's
Instagram for more updates, and RSVP for the event
