Otto Björnik's "Bai Chu" resin sculptures return in the pictured monotone "Pu-ti" edition. These 5½-inch tall, hand-painted depictions of a
jiangshi, or Chinese hopping vampire, have been a perenial favorite for us — seriously,
check out our video review of them! — and this eye-popping version will be exclusively available from
Secret Fresh Gallery (G/F Ronac Art Center, Ortigas Ave., Greenhills, Metro Manila, Philipines) at Björnik's Checkmate++ exhibition. These tiny vampires might seem unstoppable — given the ever-growing demand for them — but you can still him by attaching his magnetically held restraining talisman.
Available on June 19th, 2016 at 6pm local time, these pieces will be sold on a "first come, first served" basis from the gallery for, we presume, $150 each. Typically limited to 35 copies in his release editions, we suspect this one will be no different.
