The "
Medicom Toy 20th Anniversay Exhibition" isn't the only way the company is celebrating their anniversay, they are also opening a pop-up shop. Titled "
Medicom Toy Plus," this concept store in Japan's Omotesando Hills will have an assortment of exclusive BE@RBRICKs available for those lucky enough to attend, but mingled within the display of the company's well-known platform figure will be other brilliant goodies… like the pictured hand-painted "Gamaotoko" vinyl figures! Using the 8½-inch tall vinyl crap creature created by fiberglass sculptural artist
Takahiro Komuro / TkoM as a base, the President of
Medicom Toy himself, Tatsuhiko Akashi, has customized these. Limited to "only 5 edition," which could mean 5 of each version or 5 one-off works, these will be first come, first served to those in-person at the pop-up shop! Costing ¥20000 (approx. $192) apiece, we're sad we won't be able to get one ourselves, but thrilled to see the pictures!
