Shing Yin Khor’s “The Last Apothecary” Installation for Burning Man 2016!

Artist Shing Yin Khor (aka Sawdust Bear) and her Black Rock Civilian Defense Corps collective are once again travelling to Burning Man this year, intent on building their most impressive sounding installation yet. Titled “The Last Apothecary,” this immersive and interactive exhibit sounds like a sci-fi haunted house, the contents revealing "a space apothecary."

They've already received an honorarium grant from Burning Man for this project, which covers a lot of their material and transport costs, but in order to do everything they want to they still need to raise money for lighting, interactive design elements, sound and video, and various additional props. Thus they are turning to you, the art enthuesiasts and cool collectors, to help fund it via Kickstarter. What do you get in return? You get to own a piece of the finished product.

Seriously, this is an amazing looking project and one that people will hopefully talk about for years to come. Owning a piece of it afterwards is definitely going to be a highlight within many people's collections…
