Artist Joseph Harmon’s 5½-inch tall “Wolf Thing Bat Mother,” produced by Toy Art Gallery in soft vinyl, has been hand-painted in a small run reminiscent of the classic Hawaiian release colors. Titled the “Hawaiian Death Ray” edition, I love the totem-esque, stacked sandwich feel of the figure’s body, topped by the monstrous bat head and — in this age of 3D sculpted perfection — that this piece really embraces the look of a hand-sculpted work of art.
