In an industry filled with online shops, the physical storefront remains a necessity, especially for letting those new to the designer toy world experience these pieces in-person. Thus it is heart-breaking for us to announce that New Jersey-based shop
SubUrban Vinyl will be closing their doors on March 31st, 2016. We're told that "many factors went into this decision" — "both personal and business" — but that doesn't soften the blow. For those that weren't able to experience SubUrban Vinyl firsthand, their location was a true work of passion and was one of the few places you could experience the true depth & range of designer toys in real life. We're told that they will be present at East Coast Comic-Con in April, but it sounds like that will be the true final hurrah for this shop. I'd personally like to thank the Robs, both Rob the Manager and Rob the Owner, for many fond memories… And I hope the tide turns and SubUrban returns!
