Toy Art Gallery x Candie Bolton - "Bake-Kujira: The Phantom Whale"

The prototype for Candie Bolton's new toy design was unveiled at the Toy Art Gallery booth at Designer Con 2015... and she sent over some great photos of this MASSIVE monster, her first Kaiju design, "Bake-Kujira". Inspired by Japanese folklore and the king of Kaiju, Godzilla (Gojira is a combination of the word "gorilla" and "kujira" the Japanese word for whale). A phantom whale comes into existence whenever a whale dies a tragic death at the hands of a human. She tells us that the finished product will be an 11" tall soft vinyl toy (sofubi) and will be released early 2016... yeah, this thing is awesome! Hopefully we get to see some test pulls and paint samples in the near future!
