Crystal-Jade Vaughan × threeA’s “HEX: Umbra!”

This holiday season, fans of Crystal-Jade Vaughan’s “HEX” line from threeA will be treated to a very special release: “Umbra” (teaser painting above, actual figures pictured below). One of Hex's most trusted allies, and part of her squad of fairytale women, Umbra's name means "shadow" in Latin — an accurate descriptor as she "has the power to control the shadow of any given element." We're told she can also use her hands to cast shadows, "enabling whatever beast she fashions to fight by her side," though her hands are usually clenched around her twin Daggers of Destiny.
But, of course, when will you be able to grab this newest addition to the magic meets mathematics series of feminine figures? Through a very special arrangement, this character will debut in a special, handmade edition of 5 pieces at The Clutter Gallery’s upcoming Gift Wrapped 2015 exhibition. Opening on December 12th from 6-9pm at the space's New York location (163 Main St., Beacon, NY 12508), these will be the only pieces included in the exhibit that exceed $150 in price — but man, are they worth it!
