Immediately following the events from 1931’s Frankenstein, director James Whale continued the tale with 1935’s the
Bride of Frankenstein. After abandoning his plans to create life, a chastened Dr. Henry Frankenstein is coerced by his original Monster into constructing a mate for him. After being brought to life, the Bride of Frankenstein rejects the Monster, screaming and running away, causing the Monster to realize that neither himself nor his newly awoken mate belong alive… As the Monster destroys the tower and laboratory they are in, it is presumed they all die… Though, in the mind of artist
