Known for everything from gothic horror (
The Devil’s Backbone) to dark fantasy (
Pan’s Labyrinth), from vampire superhero action (
Blade II) to supernatural comic book goodness (
Hellboy), and even kaiju versus mechs (
Pacific Rim), writer and director Guillermo del Toro has done it all in genre film. And now this visionary is being paid tribute by
Gallery1988 with their “In Service of Monsters” art exhibition. Curated by Chogrin and Gary Deocampo, the artist lineup for this show is insane… Mike Mignola, Guy Davis, Glenn Barr, Alex Pardee, Chet Zar, and more! And while most is being kept under wraps before the September 11th opening, Pardee has hinted that his piece is inspired by Peter Pan & The Child Eater. Hmm…
The “In Service of Monsters” group exhibition opens on September 11th, 2015 at
Gallery1988, 7308 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90046.
