We'd
previously revealed the wonderfully crafted pair of “Twisted Dolls” that Méxican artist
Jump Jumper Ant was commissioned to make for a Portuguese collector, but no still photograph really conveys the depth and skill of her work. Each of these 3-inch tall vinyl sculptures are completely hand-modified by the artist, making them unique works of art, and many elements — such as the eyes — are built from scratch by her as well. Titled “Candy” and “Anny” respectively, the eyes do not actually move but merely appear that way from the curvature of the pupil that Jump Jumper Ant masterfully created. Similar to the famous trick of the “Mona Lisa,” whose eyes also appear to follow those appreciating the art of it, the works from Jump Jumper Ant regular employ this skillful trick… and, once seen in person, I think most would kill to add it to their collection. Thankfully homicide is not necessary, as you can simply contact the artist at
gahel [dot] igzz [at] gmail [dot] com to commission works of your own.
