The Mind Meltingly Brilliant 20-inch “Life Time” by Nikejerk for The Clutter Gallery!

American artist Jared Cain, known by the nom de guerre Nikejerk, present his magnificent “Life Time” sculptural creation. Constructed for The Clutter Gallery’s Reinvention exhibition, which asked artists to reimagine one toy as another, this piece emulates the form of a 20-inch tall, Kidrobot released Dunny but is actually made of an uncountable quantity of toys that the artist accumulated over years. Buying "only like two or three new items" for this work, Cain's creation is actually assembled out of "tons of [personal] memories" and has become a physical representation "of what it's like to be a toy collector, hoarder, artist, and straight-up lover of toys." Reinvention is a custom group exhibition that will open on August 8th with a reception from 6-9 pm local time and be on display until September 4th, 2015 at The Clutter Gallery, 163 Main St., Beacon, NY 12508.
