The fantastically talented artist
Kevin Gosselin is sadly seen less these days than in the past, but he did recently share this magnificent work he completed back in March: the “Egyptian Madl!” Revisiting a historical and cultural reference he obviously loves —
remember “Amun-ny-Ra”? — Gosselin delves deeper into ancient Egypt, creating a one-of-a-kind 5-inch tall vinyl MAD*L. Using a similar base concept as he did for the
“Mr. AZ” piece in 2012, Gosselin decorated the front of the figure in the theme and then cut out the back of the head, building an appropriate, diminutive scene inside… and I love that it is a throne room with a napping cat upon the throne. A commissioned work of art, this is sadly not available for sale.
