UME Toys × Wetworks’s Skateboard Deck Diorama using Coarse Toys’s Omens!

Several weeks ago, we announced that Singapore based artist Carlo Cacho, also known as Wetworks, had commissioned UK-based contemporary Rich Page of UME Toys to modify and hand-paint two “Omen” vinyl owls from Coarse Toys. Cacho likewise manipulated two of the vinyl sculptures, then created a wooden birdhouse diorama on the back of a skateboard deck. Phenomenally composed, this creative project has been titled “Midnight Watchers,” eluding to the piece’s blank stare while under the full moon painted upon the board.
