Juan Muniz's bunny-suited "Felipe" is finally making his way to fans in vinyl form! The Las Vegas street artists’s famous character is an analogy for the human condition, as the artist states: “We often wear a second skin in daily life or at work and the ‘skin’ doesn’t reveal much of our true self.” So what is Felipe’s true self? Typically depicted in ironically humorous situations, this art toy rendition is derived from the painting “Uh Oh” — which it is likewise named after — and it has Felipe grasping five multi-colored “explosive” balloon-ish grenades! With his head angled downwards, what is that at his feet?!? Standing a total of 9½-inches tall, this piece is limited to 200 pieces worldwide and will debut at producer
3DRetro’s
San Diego Comic-Con Booth #5045 (shared with DKE Toys). Retailing for $55 apiece, Muniz will even be on-hand to sign figures, prints, and other special items for fans on Friday 3-4
PM and again on Saturday 1-2
PM Pacific time.
