One of the most iconic artists to hit the modern pop art world,
Luke Chueh, is back for his second exhibit at
Rotofugi Gallery where he will be revisiting his "Headspace" series for a full gallery solo! Luke is revisiting this idea as he created a series of paintings back in 2012 for the London based 'Moniker Art Fair' that he called "Headspace"... this showed off the body of his bear figure holding its head - like it was a mask - only to reveal so many more heads upon the body. From pop culture to his own inner demons, Luke will be showing off a brand new body of works that will not disappoint.
Also up for display, and maybe up for grabs will be the very first version of the new
Munky King produced 'Headspace' figure... one that actually features their mascot "Abe"... as seen in the photo above. There is no real confirmation on this just yet, but if they are teasing the image, there sure is a possibility! First availability of exhibit pieces will be at the gallery when they open at 11am on Friday, May 8. Gallery Previews email list members will be able to make purchases via email starting at 2PM that same day. The opening reception is on Friday, May 8, 2015, from 7-10pm... don't miss it!
