International artist duo
Aleksander Stav and
Lars Skjelbreia have partnered with
Pretty in Plastic to fabricate a large scale sculpture titled "Polynation." A public art piece that will be displayed in-front of a new elementary school in Oslo, Norway, the structure of the piece is modeled after the plant kingdom, macro scale renditions of pollen grains that will hopefully "inspire, through art and science, the imaginations of young minds." The 15 foot tall permanent installation will be constructed out of welded steel armature, fiberglass, and cast polyurethane, and is currently in the process of being created (see below).
