While
Miscreation Toys's "The Iron Monster," which is inspired by the nameless robot from the serialized 1939 film
The Phantom Creeps, the pictured version — "Fritz" — has been hand-painted by Rich Montanari of
Mutant Vinyl Hardcore and draws inspiration from the classic Fritz Lang film
Metropolis. The 15-inch tall mechanized nightmare is cast in glow-in-the-dark Japanese vinyl and has a multitude of colorful sprays on it, from metallic bright red, black and silver to black rubs and subtle green highlights, not to mention the details on the eyes, teeth, rivets and chest work. And, to top the package off, each monster comes with a hand embellished MVH tag attached with metal chain. Per usual, Montanari pays wonderful attention to every detail! Limited to only 10 pieces, these will be available on Friday, March 13th, 2015 at 5PM Pacific time in the
Mutant Vinyl Hardcore web shop for $225 apiece.
