The Disarticulators's fantastic "Oozeball" release is an absolute double-sided joy: the front side depicts the classic "Ooze-it" face, inspired by the rubber toy from the '70s/'80s which spewed forth slime from its mouth, nose, eyes & ears when squeezed, while the back side features a stunningly detailed Man in the Moon with his eye penetrated by the infamous Astronomic Club's projectile (the famed imaged comes from the French film
Le Voyage dans la Lune (
A Trip to the Moon), which is based on Jules Verne's popular
From the Earth to the Moon). Cast is ultra-squishy soft vinyl, Jon M. of
Rampage Toys has gotten his hands on a handful of these and is unleashing the very first painted run — pictured above — at this year's
Wonder Festival on February 8th, 2015 in Japan. We suspect this piece will pick up in steam — and demand — once it is properly released, making snagging one of these from Booth 5-5-1 a real treat for early admirers.
